Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Cancels Registrations on Grounds of Abandonment

In a precedential decision issued on May 7, 2018, the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (the Board) granted a petition to cancel four registrations for the mark GIDGET, finding that the mark had been abandoned because the evidence showed no use of the mark from 2008 through 2012, with no intent to resume use.
